HI!HAMLET
Global week

My friends and I had a really great time at global week this year! We organised a Chinese cultural stall on Wednesday and we prepared stories such as pitch pot, writing brush characters and fortune telling, as well as traditional Chinese snacks such as mooncakes, dumplings and wife-cakes. We went to another campus because we were a bit late in registering. But we met a lot of friends from other campuses! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and we had a great time with the activities we had prepared.

Everyone's country and cultural background is different, leading to differences in each person's understanding and knowledge of a particular historical event. And it is this difference that makes the International Week more dynamic, and it is very interesting to express one's own point of view and at the same time to appreciate the traditional culture of other countries.
We met some students studying at Nottingham and also some teachers from other disciplines. What I found really useful about this was that I became more confident in my culture and it was also a really good learning experience for me, an experience of organising events and we got to promote our culture to a lot of people! We also got involved in our own campus activities, which were also very interesting!
