The Beekeeper Of Aleppo

It's an insightful play and well worth watching! We had some meet and greets at the playhouse and a live tour of specific scenes, but I didn't expect it to be such a great surprise and experience when I visited. The set was a ruined sand dune with a huge curtained backdrop. When the show started, the light and the sound of the bees hit the curtain and it took my breath away. We were positioned very close to the front so it shook me when the gunshots went off.

The lighting and scenes are very well combined, simple scenes with varied looks, and the costume changes are very interesting. It is very difficult to make the same person dress up like a different person, but the costume switches in this play are very good and make it hard to tell. Very good!

Speaking of the plot, I was actually confused at the beginning whether the main character's wife was mentally ill or whether he had mental problems. The way the plot was interpreted it should have been the main character's wife, but the opening episode where the main character shoots himself made me wonder. The ending where everyone accepts each other's hearts was also a very good experience, and the kiss at the end and the red flowers blooming on the sand dunes I thought were the finishing touches。
