HI!HAMLET
The Ocean at the End of the Lane

We saw the play in Leicester. The play was difficult for me to get into at first as I didn't understand the full story, but after gradually entering that fantasy world, my attention was completely captured. Childhood is not as beautiful as it is often claimed to be, with memories of unfathomable darkness, worries and fears about family relationships, and children troubled by those emotions of adults who gradually grow the courage to face crises.
I was completely fascinated by the fate of the main character, pained by the fact that his father and sister didn't believe him, and cut to the heart of hating the demon who pretended to be his mother.

Adults follow the rules, children explore everywhere. In the world of adults, everything and everyone is the same, nothing is new, they walk the same path a thousand times, rarely deviating from it, believing only what they see and what they experience. But they forget that they too were once innocent and out of the ordinary. The world is more mysterious to a child's eyes, a small world of witches, monsters, oceans, jungles, crises and unknowns.
The choreography in it is very interesting too! Letty's outfit was lovely and the first appearance of the monster was scary. I thought the monster had many scary points such as the furry spider, the pointy beak, the long legs and huge body, the three heads and six arms, and the designer blended all the fears in everyone's heart. One of the chase lighting doors was also interesting and made me feel the deep terror in the child's eyes. A very unforgettable play
